It’s been longer than I had hoped, but we’re finally in the process of upgrading both KetoGenesis and GlycoGenesis to v1.2.
In brief, the main changes are in the sources of potassium and calcium used in both products. Currently, calcium and phosphorus are obtained from dicalcium phosphate, with potassium being obtained solely from potassium bicarbonate. However, this leads to there being more calcium than necessary in?order to meet phosphorus targets. We are switching our calcium source to calcium bisglycinate (mineral chelates have the highest bioavailabilities) and including 1300mg of calcium per day, and potassium will now be obtained from a mix of dipotassium phosphate (enough to meet our 1250mg phosphorus target) and potassium bicarbonate (up to a daily total of 4700mg of potassium). GlycoGenesis won’t contain any dipotassium phosphate, as the oats and flax are good sources of phosphorus.
In addition, we will be lowering fibre content in KetoGenesis in order to allow serving sizes to be exactly 50 grams, and daily serving sizes to be 150 grams. Whilst initially lowering of fibre may seem like a bad thing, there is a reason for this. In short, whilst there is a daily…
