New York City has a well-deserved reputation for being one of the best food cities in the world. However, while it’s earned its place as a foodie Mecca, it’s also true that nearly 2.4 million people in New York state struggle with hunger, with about half of that number living in New York City. One in 8 residents in New York currently find themselves in this unfortunate situation.
We find this statistic deeply upsetting, and are committed to doing our part to help. That’s why today we’re announcing our latest #SoylentForGood initiative: for every bottle of Soylent sold in New York retail stores during the month of June, we’re donating a bottle of Soylent to help make New York more food secure. Help us reach our goal of providing New Yorkers in need with up to 40,000 complete meals donated!
