YFood Powder – what do we know?

A hastily removed page broke cover earlier today, lasting just long enough for google to cache it and someone to post about it to Reddit. And it promised….

Developing a powder whilst many are developing RTD’s is smart and much like with Saturo; it opens them up to new people that may not have really considered them as an RTD brand alone.

What we know right now…

  • 85g powder and 300ml water will give you a 400kcal shake
  • Meal cost will be € 1.76
  • Flavours are Alpine Chocolate, Smooth Vanilla, Fresh Berry

Meal size good and pricing great. There’s no word on subscription discounts and purchase is looking to be bulk’ish’ with 1.5kg bags containing 17 meals in a particular flavour and costing €29.92.

That last bit on flavours though…. Those are the same as three of YFood’s main line and their faq has this:

“In principle, our powder contains the same valuable ingredients as our drinks.”

This is great. YFood use lactose free milk in their RTD which means they’re easily one the best tasting meal replacements available – if they can carry that formula over to a powder it’ll taste amazing.
