"Favourite complete food brand, but bars are least favourite product"

Only tried cocoa. Better taste than most other protein/energy bars.
Prefered the crumbly, less sticky version 1.0 bar.
Very filling, and I normally only have 1/2!
Cheaper than other CF and protein bars, but not good value for money compared to powder and granola. Recommend snacking on dry granola – or very cheap wholefood/protein/paleo bars and having powder/granola as rest of diet.
Ingredients and nutritional profile are not as good as powder/granola or some of the other bars (e.g. Jake).

"Nice kcal size"

The texture is not really up my taste, in comparision to feed and wundrbar it’s a bit more difficult to eat.

Will probably not ever be my favourite, but lets see in a few months 😛

"Enjoyable, but not addictive (which is a good thing)"
December 22, 2016 @ 16:58

First order of these arrived this morning and I’m enjoying them so far. The taste is neutral cacao, kind of like a dark chocolate flavour of hot chocolate drinks. I like it. Subtle at first and actually quite potent after a few bites. They’re kind of ‘basic’ in terms of taste and texture, and aren’t particularly morish – but they’re definitely very easy to eat and I’m really happy with the nutritional profile.

I was concerned that they were too dry at first, I’m used to sticky sweet protein bars and flapjacks but I think Huel have struck a really good balance between the nutritional profile and dryness and to make it more moist would mean using more sweeter ingredients to bind the mixture together – something I’m glad they didn’t do.

Ingredients are of a high quality, as normal for Huel’s products and overall I think it’s pleasant enough for me to eat as a snack, but not so pleasant that I’d overindulge and they’re definitely going into my daily nutritional rotation.
