Is this the worst Huel spill story ever?

Things go wrong sometime and I bet we’ve all dropped a shaker, but sometimes timing is everything. TIFU at a sporting goods store. from r/Huel Is that the worst spill ever though? Certainly goes a bit further than the image we found on the Huel forum. Thanks for letting us use it as the thumbnail […]

Huel RTD hits Sainsbury’s
Huel RTD hits Sainsbury’s

It’s was early September that I heard Huel was quietly starting to appear on the shelves of a few big Sainsbury’s, with various stores appearing without flair or big announcement on an all new Huel store locator. This was pretty exciting for me for a couple of reasons. For the main part; I just really […]

Huel RTD taster box goes on sale in Sweden.

One of Huel’s problems in my eyes is a refusal to move away from bulk ordering and with so many great products on sale it seems bonkers to me that you can only buy them in big packs rather than mix and match selections. Take bars as an example, which only come in packs of […]

"Game changer"
September 19, 2020 @ 13:39

I have quite a lot of Huel’s shakes but the beigeness can grate a bit eeeeevery meal is a shake so the chance to have some proper food for a meal for a change, and it being nutritionally complete, well I’m all over that!

I got a couple bags on the launch day and got stuck in the moment they arrived via the ever tortuous experience of DPD, but I digress. Mixing is quick and if you’ve ever made a pot noodle you’ll be right at home here as you figure out how much water to add for a just right consistency.

Unlike mainline Huel this has a very pronounced smell and very present flavours. Personally I think tomato and herb is a bit meh but the Thai Green Curry is outstanding and I’m happily eating it every day.

There does seem to be a bit of a knack to getting the various bits all mixed up with each other and the flavour seems to settle below the grains, but it’s easy enough once you remember to do it. Mixing rather than shaking is the way to go.
